Johann Christian Kinpolth violin, Vienna 1734

SKU: S661

Austrian violin maker Johann Christian Kinpolth made violins based on an Amati model, employing well-chosen materials and fine craftsmanship. This lovely example has a beautiful, one-piece maple back, and very characterful, Amatese ‘f’ holes. The tone is gorgeous: aristocratic, highly playable, and with a great deal of colour and finesse, along with richness, depth, resonance and clarity. For an instrument only a decade short of 300 years old, the condition is very good indeed. This would be a fine violin for an advanced student or professional player.
