Since its inception in the early twentieth century, the Roderick Paesold workshop has specialized in the manufacture of a wide range of well-made bows for stringed instruments. Their #108 model uses selected brazilwood for the stick, and the quality can often rival if not out-perform the lower ranks of pernambuco bows. This viola bow, at 73 grams, is at the heavy end of the normal viola bow spectrum and would suit a strong player in the middle grades.
