Roderick Paesold, born into a family of musical instrument manufacturers and dealers, established his own bow-making workshops in 1919. He then relocated to Bubenreuth in 1950, where he mentored and trained a number of important bow makers. This octagonal, pernambuco bow, Paesold’s model number 192, is of medium weight, with a clean, accurate response to match its appearance. Both its legato stability and articulation mean this bow is suitable for middle grade students intending to advance.
